Video: Royal Navy deploys RFA Argus to Ebola-hit Sierra Leone

Royal Fleet Auxillary ship Argus has set sail to help out in the Ebola crisis afflicting west Africa. Captain David Eagles said Royal Navy personnel had spent the past week loading the aviation support ship with supplies ahead of its deployment to Sierra Leone on October 17. The Harland & Wolff-renovated Argus, transporting navy and marine personnel, will increase the United Kingdom’s response to the region’s Ebola outbreak. Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said about the mission: “The UK is leading the international fight against Ebola. The deployment of RFAArgus is absolutely key to that effort – not only to help save lives in Sierra Leone but also to help keep Britain safe from this terrible disease.” Credit: Facebook/Royal Navy
